Sometimes it helps to talk, and sometimes it can help to talk to somebody who is impartial, non-judgemental, and in a confidential setting.
I work with the person centred approach to counselling complemented with brief interventions and tools from CBT, NLP, EFT, and solution focused hypnotherapy. This is a positive approach that encourages you to explore thoughts, feelings and emotions in a confidential environment. I am a voluntary counsellor with Macmillan and Anxiety UK and a volunteer listener with Samaritans.
The benefit of this type of counselling is that clients are helped to become more self-aware, and more in control of creating positive changes in their life and therefore find balance when life feels unfair.
It is based on a humanistic philosophy that every individual has the ability to create a more positive, and satisfying, way of life.
Person centred counselling is non-judgemental approach to help you to find personal solutions, and it avoids any kind of analysis. Instead, the client benefits from unconditional positive regard, empathy and congruence. These core conditions help to create a positive, firm foundation for a trusting therapeutic relationship.
If you feel that talking to somebody who is non-judgemental, impartial, and in a confidential environment would help, then please feel free to book a complementary initial consultation on the ‘Book Now’ button at the top of the page.
